The innovative new Jubo Infinity Court is being launched in the UK with Padel Plus one of three distributors.
The world’s first Jubo Infinity court is currently nearing completion in Belgium and features a sleek design with far less unsightly steel, without sacrificing strength or stability.
Padel Plus is looking to bring the court to the UK and is the only operator to offer the Infinity Court with ProSportLED lighting, which minimises glare for players and reduces light spill to virtually zero.
Padel Plus director James Sandwith told The Padel Paper: “The Jubo Infinity Court addresses a significant problem in that conventional padel courts clustered together look aggressive and prison-like because there is an awful lot of steel, typically painted black.
“It’s all rather foreboding and takes away from the glass, which is bright and transparent. The Infinity court reduces that density of steel and makes the whole court look aesthetically impressive as a piece of design.
“For those used to Panoramic courts, this is the next level: more elegant, more impressive and safer to play on, with wire mesh flush to the glass and running continuously between frames.”
Infinity courts are around £2000 more expensive than a Panoramic court, which are themselves a little more expensive than traditional club padel courts.
The patented structural system is finished with a nine-stage painting process to ensure corrosion resistance and can withstand winds in excess of 186 km/h. The grill sections are flush mounted in one continuous stream down the side walls.
The racket sport-specific ProSportLED lighting reduces the glare which can sometimes be off-putting when playing overhead shots. It also reduces light spill outside the courts.
“We have essentially zero light spill,” said Sandwith. “You look up to that high ball and there’s no dazzling and wondering where the ball has got to. They are very lean to run whilst providing more light.”
