The second event in the Padel London series is coming up this weekend (27 May) at Epsom Lawn Tennis Club – and it promises to be more diverse and even more competitive!
The event now has mixed as well as women’s and men’s draws, with a timed group stage followed by knockout quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals in the LTA FAST4 scoring format.
The women’s and mixed tournaments will run for six hours in the morning (9AM until 3PM) with the men’s event running from 3PM until 9PM.
The event is for improvers to intermediate standard players. At the time of writing, there are just a few places left in the women’s and men’s draws, but the mixed tournament is sold out.
“We have made this second event in the Padel London 2023 series more challenging and competitive and we will be follow this format for the entire series,” founder David Segura-Pravia told The Padel Paper.
“There will be giveaways and prize money and we are incredible proud to have chosen Barnardo’s as our charitable partner for this event.”
Barnardo’s is the UK’s largest children’s charity. They run over 800 services across the UK to offer long-term support to vulnerable children who have been through traumatic experiences, like abuse or neglect, helping them rebuild their lives and future.
David added: “In fundraising for Barnardo’s, we hope to contribute to their outstanding work and help make a significant difference in the lives of these children. This not only allows us to give back to the community, but it also enables us to contribute towards a cause that makes a profound impact on the future of our society.”
