Debutants Krü Padel by Taktika defeated the Rafa Nadal Academy powered by Richard Mille team 2-1 on Championship Sunday to lift the second Alpine Hexagon Cup title at a sold-out Madrid Arena.

With €1.2 million on the line, and with the final poised at 1-1, Krü Padel by Taktika’s Next Gen pairing of Marina Lobo and Agueda Pérez Ortiz held their nerve and defeated Rafa Nadal Academy powered by Richard Mille’s pair Noa Canovas and Noemi Aguilar 6-3, 6-4 in a winner-takes-all match to conclude the action-packed five day event.

Kickstarting the day, players and celebrities played in an Alpine Pro-Am match. Padel legend Ferando Belasteguín took to the court the morning after his final professional padel foray, along with stars Arturo Coello and Claudia Fernández. Former footballer Raphaël Varane along with Formula 1 drivers Fanco Colapinto and Pierre Gasly were notable celebrity participants.

Team Bella Puerto Rico and AD/Vantage Padel Team competed for third place in the afternoon, creating an appetite for the subsequent finals at 17:00. Last year’s champions, Team AD/vantage would go on to take third place after a three-match contest.

While Marta Ortega and Gemma Triay squared off against Claudia Jensen and Verónica Virseda on the Centre Court, celebrities in the Fila Cero row gathered to watch. Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone sat courtside with centre-back Robin Le Normand and midfielder Thomas Lemar. Legendary Spanish cyclist Alberto Contador and TV host Lara Alvarez were also spotted. The Madrid Arena fan zone buzzed with sponsorship events from Adidas, Slazenger and other top brands.

Hexagon Cup MD Commercial, Astrid Thams said: “The past five days have shown the world of sport that the Alpine Hexagon Cup 2025 holds a unique place on the sporting calendar, bringing together the very best competition in padel coupled with the team undercurrent that fans love, and a real purpose with our focus on professional women’s padel and the Next Gen, too.

“I would like to congratulate Krü Padel by Taktika for their victory at the Madrid Arena tonight, and pay a special thank all 22 sponsors, especially our title partner Alpine, and every fan who gathered here over the past five days. None of this would be possible without your support and love for the sport that now has the world talking.”
