GB no.1 Aimee Gibson completed an incredible hat-trick of FIP world padel circuit titles in successive weekends in Bahrain on Sunday.
Having lifted the FIP Silver Reap Hong Kong and FIP Bronze Lyttos III trophies in the last fortnight with new partner Alba Perez Momha, Aimee teamed up with the Spanish world no.67 again in some style at the FIP Bronze event in Manama last weekend.
Going in as top seeds, Aimee and Alba negotiated the opening three rounds for the loss of a grand total of six games. The semi-final was also reasonably straight-forward — a 6-3, 6-1 defeat of Ekaterina Nikitina and Marisol Fernandez Garcia.
The final saw the duo face fourth seeds Giorgia Rosi and Matilde Minelli of Italy and they too were dispatched in ruthless fashion 6-3, 6-1, to end the FIP season with a third straight title.

“I never would have thought going into these last three FIPs of the season that I would win three back-to-back,” the Essex left-hander told The Padel Paper whilst on her way back to the UK.
“For any full-time athlete, the dream is to always be in finals and win tournaments. I feel really proud of my hard work. Sometimes the results don’t always fall your way, but these results show if you keep going it will pay off.
“At the end of a long year, with a slight injury and my first time playing with Alba, it couldn’t have gone better with her. We’re going to look to play together next year as well.”
Aimee’s world ranking moves up to a career-high no.81 following Sunday’s result, which will be a tremendous platform to launch an all-out charge for the top 50 in 2026.
Aimee’s next assignment will be this weekend’s inaugural LTA Padel National Championships at Rocket Padel in Bristol, where she will partner GB no.2 Catherine Rose (who reached the semi-finals of a FIP Bronze in Belgium last weekend).
The GB pair then fly to Australia after Christmas to defend the two titles they won in Sydney and Melbourne this time last year.
