While Chelsea were winning last week’s FIFA Club World Cup in New Jersey, Rocks Lane in Chiswick hosted padel’s version, which brought 16 international teams from as far afield as Argentina, India and Croatia.
The EPL Club World Cup London 2025, powered by Playtomic, was the first event of its kind to be held in the UK.
The three-day extravaganza, emblazoned with 24 sponsors, included not just Euro Padel League competitions but also EPL Corporate events for many of the sponsors, with a mix of sport and media personalities and pro padel players.
Most importantly of all, Rocks Lane uses funds generated by the EPL Club World Cup and corporate events to subsidise its extensive junior and community participation programmes.

Chris Warren, founder of the Euro Padel League and Rocks Lane, said: “The EPL Club World Cup London 2025 was a landmark moment not just for British padel, but for the global padel community.
“Bringing together teams from across the world to compete, connect and celebrate the spirit of our sport was a dream realised. The energy, camaraderie and level of play exceeded all expectations, and we’re incredibly proud of what our team and partners delivered. This is just the beginning — the future of club team padel has never looked brighter.”

Co-organised by Sara Woolland and hosted by Suzanne Baum, the three-day showpiece was a resounding success and promises to be even bigger next year with the inclusion of the EPL Women’s teams, who are looking forward to their first EPL event in Copenhagen in September.
The closely-fought final was an exceptional standard between the host team London Rocks and the Padel Roos from Australia. The winning team was awarded a padel trip to Šolta in Croatia from EPL Sponsor, Padel Šolta.

Sandy Case, a Padel Roos team player, said: “It was an incredible experience to be part of the victorious Australia team, known as the PadelRoos, at the Club World Cup. The event, beautifully organised by Chris Warren and his team, brought together a genuinely global field.”
The Rocks Lane Padel team will next host the LTA Padel British Tour Grade 1 event from 24-27 July, FIP Promises international junior event on 24-26 October, the launch of EPL Women’s events in September and the launch of EPL UK league in the autumn.
