Day three: Both GB team finished with a flourish on Thursday in the shadow of the Rock of Gibraltar.
Firstly, GB women posted a consolation 2-1 victory over Germany, thanks to wins for Tia Norton & Aimee Gibson and Catherine Rose & Lisa Phillips, earning them third spot in the group.
GB’s men also sealed third spot in their group, and although that also means they miss out on the semi-finals, they will be mighty chuffed to have toppled Sweden 2-1 thanks to the brilliant Alex Loughlan and Louie Harris and new pairing Christian Medina Murphy and Alfonso Patacho.
