GB padel international Nikhil Mohindra has launched a new Carpool Karaoke-style series with a string of big name guests.

Episode one of the GB no.10’s new creation, ‘Behind the Glass’, is out now and features Nico, well-known content creator and star of The Traitors.

Upcoming guests include Spain legend Andres Iniesta, rapper Aitch, ex-Chelsea captain John Terry, Spanish GOAT Paquito Navarro and UFC champion Islam Makhachev.

Rumours of a former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Portugal legend making an appearance are yet to be confirmed or denied…

The format sees Nikhil pick up a celebrity in his car before going for a drive and a chat about their lives and careers. They then stop at a padel club and have a match with one of Nikhil’s fellow GB team members.

The series has been created to raise awareness of The Padel Foundation, which raises funds to give under-privileged children in the UK the opportunity to play padel.

“I’ve been planning this project with my team for about 18 months,” Nikhil told The Padel Paper.

“Someone like John Terry’s audience is very different to Nico’s, so we’re exposing lots of different people to padel via social media.

“I’m lucky that these guys are genuinely all friends who I can drop a message to at any time. They’ve all been brilliant in sparing their time to get involved.”

So far, Nikhil has introduced over 350 children from 12 different schools to the 20×10 through The Padel Foundation.

Raising more funds will enable these programmes to expand and reach more young people, who can benefit from receiving coaching and guidance from members of the Great Britain padel team.

“I’m super fortunate to be in a position to do this,” said Nikhil. “It’s very special. It’s all about helping to grow the sport.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to play sport and benefit from coaching my whole life, so I wanted to give back.

“Padel is becoming super expensive to play, so I’m teaming up with clubs who are offering us court time. That will allow me to bring in kids who haven’t had the opportunity to play sport because of their upbringing or background.”
