A new four-court indoor padel club in Wiltshire is set to feature Multiball — a large interactive sports wall for social activity and family fun.
Opening this September inside a former Tesco unit at Chippenham shopping centre Emery Gate, Padel Chippenham will combine padel with a dedicated interactive entertainment area.
MultiBall is a wall-mounted system that combines sport, technology and gaming. Players throw, kick or hit balls at a large interactive display, with high-speed tracking technology registering their shots in real time.
The system offers a library of more than 45 apps, ranging from fun games to training-focused activities based on classic sports.
The addition of MultiBall is aimed at giving players a new way to be active while using technology in a positive, engaging and social way. Groups will be able to combine physical activity with teamwork, coordination and learning, while families will be able to drop in for casual competitive play alongside Padel Chippenham’s padel courts.
MultiBall has already been used by major international brands and at high-profile events such as Wimbledon. It features in the Asics flagship store in Barcelona and in more than 20 Rebel Sport stores across Australia. The arrival of the system in Chippenham will bring a proven, professional-grade interactive play experience to the town centre.
‘Active entertainment’
A spokesperson for Padel Chippenham said: “We are really excited to be bringing MultiBall to Chippenham as part of our new venue at Emery Gate. Padel will be at the heart of what we offer, but we also want the centre to be a place where visitors of all ages can enjoy active entertainment in a fun and accessible way.
“Whether it is a school session, a family visit, a birthday party, a team-building event or a group of friends trying something new, MultiBall will add another reason to visit Padel Chippenham.”
The new facility also forms part of Emery Gate’s continued role as an active town centre destination while longer-term redevelopment plans progress. The wider Padel Chippenham venue will include four top-tier padel courts, changing facilities, refreshments, equipment hire and purchase, and the MultiBall interactive entertainment wall.
