Padel Social Club — which counts Stormzy amongst its investors — has raised £5.5m to build three new clubs in central London.

The operator’s new investment comes from sources including leading consumer investors Clark Group and Active Partners, alongside a number of family offices and high-profile investors including award-winning rapper Stormzy.

The funding will support a big increase in Padel Social Club’s footprint in high-demand London locations, making it the only operator with multiple sites across central London (Zones 1-2) and adding 17 courts to its network in the following locations:

Paddington: four courts (two covered, two outdoor). Projected opening: June 2026. The only padel club in Zone 1.

The O2: five courts (two indoor, three outdoor). Projected opening: November 2026. Set within London’s most iconic entertainment destination.

Kentish Town: eight courts (five indoor, three outdoor). Projected opening: November 2026. Will be north London’s largest padel club.

With more than 30,000 people already playing at Padel Social Club sites across London, and peak-time utilisation exceeding 95%, demand continues to outstrip supply. The new locations will make it easier for players to find courts and be part of the growing padel community.

Padel Social Club’s venues are centred around a broader lifestyle shift centred around movement, wellbeing and social connection.

Kristian Hunter, Co-Founder and CEO of Padel Social Club, said: “Padel has an incredible ability to bring people together. It’s social, accessible and genuinely fun to play.

“From the beginning our aim was to create places where people could come together around the sport — not just to play, but to spend time and feel part of a community.

“This investment allows us to bring that experience to more neighbourhoods across London and beyond.”

Steve Clark, Clark Group, said: “Padel Social Club has quickly emerged as a standout brand in a category that is growing at remarkable speed.

“What impressed us most was not just the quality of the sites, but the strength of the community and brand the team has built in a short space of time.

“We’re excited to support Kristian and his team as they scale that model across the UK.”
