Pure Padel is continuing its remarkable growth with three more upcoming projects announced this week including its first foray into London.

The company has submitted plans for a premium indoor padel club in Coulsdon in the London Borough of Croydon. A planning decision is expected in mid-February.

The new venue will see Pure Padel renovate a warehouse into a six-court facility with café and licensed bar, pro shop, social spaces, changing facilities, and a co-working business lounge.

The club will be located a 10-minute walk from Coulsdon South station, offering direct trains to both London Victoria and King’s Cross St Pancras, with a door-to-door journey from Victoria in under 40 minutes.

This accessibility positions the venue to serve both local communities and London-based players, while helping address the current undersupply of indoor padel courts across South London and Surrey.

Sammy Arora, founder and Managing Director of Pure Padel, said: “We’re incredibly excited about bringing Pure Padel to Coulsdon. This will be our first club in the London region and a really important step in building our presence across the South East, especially alongside our Lightwater club in Surrey.

“The accessibility of this site is exceptional, and there’s a clear shortage of high-quality indoor padel facilities in the area.”

Meanwhile, Pure Padel have also announced its first club in Liverpool, featuring six covered courts beneath a 9.5 metre canopy at Liverpool Innovation Park on Edge Lane, the main arterial route into the city from the M62.

Plans also include a clubhouse with a food and beverage café, pro shop and social spaces. No opening date has yet been confirmed.

Also this week, a third new site was announced at Royal Wootton Bassett in Wiltshire.

The venue will be located at the voluntary-run Royal Wootton Bassett Sports Association (RWBSA), one of the area’s leading multi-sport facilities.

Planning permission has been granted for six covered padel courts, alongside a clubhouse featuring a pro shop, food and beverage offering, and dedicated social spaces. Construction is due to begin in April, with the club expected to open in mid-summer.

RWBSA is already a thriving sports hub, offering facilities for football, tennis, cricket, running and pétanque.

Royal Wootton Bassett’s strong local participation, established membership base, and accessibility were key factors in the decision. Located close to Swindon and just off the M4, the site is well positioned to serve players from across Wiltshire and beyond.

Pure Padel operates a pay-to-play model, with courts bookable via the Playtomic app and no membership fees, lowering barriers to entry and allowing players to take part as frequently or flexibly as they choose.

Pure Padel has become a sizeable force on the UK padel scene since opening its first club at Alderley Park in October 2023.
Since then, the company has opened its flagship indoor club in Manchester city centre, followed by sites in Darlington, Stockport, North Leeds and, most recently, Nottingham city centre.

Construction is now underway at upcoming clubs in Lightwater, Solihull and Glasgow, and planning has already been approved or is progressing for further clubs, including Birmingham city centre, Gosforth and York.
