iPadel have partnered with LevelTech to launch iPadel Box Leagues – a new competition format which offers clubs a ready-made tool to engage and retain players of all standards.

Launching on 25 January 2025, iPadel Box Leagues enables clubs to offer players flexible, ongoing competition within their local community while tracking progress through PadelLevels, a new performance rating platform from the team behind SquashLevels.

For club managers, iPadel Box Leagues offer a low-effort way to boost membership engagement and retention, create excitement within their club, and attract new players through a structured competition format that’s easy to manage and free to run. By establishing box leagues, clubs can provide a community-driven, skill-building experience that keeps players coming back.

Uniting with LevelTech to Set New Standards in Grassroots Competition

Ian Colligon, director of iPadel, said: “This launch marks a significant partnership between iPadel and LevelTech, the technology innovators behind SquashLevels, which has transformed grassroots squash competition across Britain.

“With iPadel Box Leagues, LevelTech brings the same player-centric rating technology to padel, through the PadelLevels platform, helping players across the UK develop their game, see tangible progress and build connections within their clubs.

“Partnering with LevelTech on Box Leagues means we’re creating something transformational for grassroots Padel. Club managers now have a ready-made tool to engage players of all levels, with no administrative hassle, while making competition fun, accessible, and truly community-focused.”

Jethro Binns, co-founder of LevelTech, added: “Through iPadel Box Leagues, we’re making grassroots padel competition both rewarding and straightforward. The success we’ve seen with SquashLevels shows us that players love seeing their progress – now we’re bringing that excitement to padel players. Clubs across the UK can benefit from happier, more engaged members and a sense of community that’s hard to beat.”

How iPadel Box Leagues work

  • Clubs can sign up to host iPadel Box Leagues on a dedicated landing page, allowing for seamless setup with minimal administrative burden.
  • You have total control over how many leagues, how many pairs in each league, how long the league lasts, you choose what leagues you want to enter, open, men’s ladies, mixed.
  • Players arrange matches at their convenience
  • Match results update directly on PadelLevels, allowing players to see their ratings improve over time, keeping them motivated and engaged

This partnership opens the door to a new era of sponsored grassroots padel competition. Sponsors will have the opportunity to provide prizes and branded equipment for box leagues, and a potential year-end championship for top players will bring together the best of the best, with a chance to win larger prizes and compete on a bigger stage. These initiatives provide clubs with added value and give players an incentive to continue improving their game.

The rollout will begin with the launch of the iPadel Box Leagues landing page, where clubs can register their interest, set up leagues, and begin offering this new competition format to their members.
