Scott Fitzgerald of Favaretti gives an update on the latest exciting developments in their business
The first half of 2025 has been exceptionally productive for Favaretti, marked by significant growth and a burgeoning global presence in the rapidly expanding racquet sports market.
Bolstering the UK Padel Scene
The year began with a strong surge in demand from the UK market, with orders and inquiries flooding in as early as January 2nd. This early interest underscores the escalating passion for padel across the UK and globally. Our installation team swiftly mobilized after the holidays, embarking on four consecutive projects in the UK. This included three covers for Game4Padel and a new two-court facility with a cover in the picturesque town of Kirkbymooreside, York.
The Kirkbymooreside project, for “We Play Padel,” exemplifies the diverse market for padel facilities. While many new clubs feature large-scale, multi-court venues, there’s a significant demand for smaller, community-focused clubs. James Buffoni and Andy Reynoldson of We Play Padel identified this need in an area where the nearest club was 30-45 minutes away. We collaborated with them to transform their vision into reality, installing two covered panoramic courts at Ryedale Printing Works, their workplace.

Expanding Horizons: Italy, USA, and Beyond
Concurrently with our UK operations, Favaretti also managed a range of projects in Italy and the USA, in partnership with Padel-Lux. A notable highlight was the completion of our first-ever cover designed and installed for pickleball, located in Nitro, West Virginia. This city-funded project adhered to stringent building codes, and we meticulously engineered a premium cover for the players of Nitro. It boasts a comprehensive suite of accessories, including operable walls, tournament-grade lighting, and a false ceiling that provides both insulation and 100% condensation proofing.
In our home country of Italy, we proudly completed a stunning new padel facility for Hype Club Trento, nestled beneath the picturesque Dolomite mountain range. This state-of-the-art complex features six Favaretti Panoramic courts and one Favaretti Infinity Super Panoramic court, seamlessly integrated with a modern clubhouse and equipped with an array of stunning accessories.

A Milestone at the Miami Open
Immediately following the Nitro project, I had the privilege of joining Filippo Caldon, Favaretti’s Managing Partner, in Miami for a truly remarkable occasion. Three of our Favaretti HT courts – one on our Easy Platform and two on our Base Plate system – were installed at the Miami Open ATP 1000, arguably the fifth largest tennis tournament, held at the stunning Hard Rock Stadium. For me, having lived in South Florida for six years and being a lifelong fan of the Miami Dolphins, this was a particularly special moment.
The event’s resounding success was a testament to the exceptional efforts of Eric Rebuhn of Padel-Lux, who masterfully organized the events, exhibitions, and social play. Collaborative support from Ultra Padel Club in Miami and our esteemed equipment partner, Dunlop Sports, further contributed to its triumph. The culmination of our involvement was the finals of the Red Padel USA series, sponsored by supermarket giant Publix, played on our two courts. The feedback from players, including USA No. 1 Nico Agritelly, was overwhelmingly positive.
Looking Ahead: Continued Growth and Innovation
The second half of 2025 promises even greater activity. We recently completed a productive road trip across Northern England and Scotland, engaging with clients for upcoming projects slated for later this year. We are also excited to announce the commencement of Favaretti UK, a new venture that will establish a dedicated warehouse and full-time staff in the UK to enhance client support and efficiency. With our in-house engineers and designers, we are dedicated to working closely with club owners, helping to bring their unique visions to life, whatever their specific needs.
With numerous court installations underway globally, from Costa Rica to Glasgow, and upcoming projects including a lot more courts and covers, and a collaboration with an English Premier League football club, alongside work with the new Premium racquet club chain Ballers, Favaretti is poised for continued innovation and leadership in the racquet sports industry.
