If you’ve mastered the basic shots and tactics of padel and you’re competing and improving your position in the LTA rankings, you may be looking for a racket to help you soar to even further heights.

Our Spanish padel expert, Joaquín Serna Sánchez, brings you five models of padel rackets that will suit your style of play and will allow you to make the most of your best shots, imitating the best players in the world.

Before we begin, it’s worth checking out our previous two articles in this series – the best rackets for amateur and intermediate players – as well as our advice on what aspects you should take into account before buying a racket.

Nox ML10 Pro Cup

This is one of the most desired padel rackets by the padel community for its design and handiness, as well as one of the best sellers in history.

It was designed by the legend Miguel Lamperti and it’s used by the current world number one on the World Padel Tour and Premier Padel circuits: Agustín Tapia.

It is an ideal racket for defence at the back of the court due to its large sweet spot. It is characterised by giving great control to the player, helping him or her master the technique of the lob and the wall.

It is not a characterised by its hardness and striking power, so if you are a player who smashes from all sides of the court, you should know that this racket is less forgiving if your technique is less than perfect.

It is made of 100% carbon and also has NOX H-3 EVA rubber, which makes it a light racket, with a medium soft feel and is characterised by its durability.

It has been on sale since its initial release in 2016 and is currently priced at around £90.

Bullpadel Hack 03 2023

Paquito Navarro’s new weapon for this season stands out for its elegant design with silver and black tones that hides behind it a great power.

The Bullpadel Hack 03 2023 is an ideal racket for aggressive players who feel strong in the defence-attack transition and in volley duels with rivals.

Its Multi-EVA rubber makes it a perfect hard racket to finish the point with a quick, parallel or over-the-fence smash that is guaranteed to surprise your opponents. However, this firmness at the net and its diamond shape means that, when it comes to defending, the player must be very active and have a good technique to get difficult balls back over the net.

In conclusion, it is a racket for advanced players who want to dominate the point at all times and who have excellent technique to add spin to their shots.

It is currently priced at £190, but last season’s version (Bullpadel Hack 2022) is identical to the current one except for the design and costs £130.

Head Graphene 360 Alpha Pro

This teardrop shaped racket was developed for one of the best drives in history, Sanyo Gutierrez, for the 2021 season.

Designed with a teardrop shape, this is a versatile racket designed for players looking for both control and to finish points quickly.

It stands out for its very large sweetspot, which reduces some power in the shots as it is made of Power Foam rubber. However, it is perfect for fast volleys where the wrist plays an important role, as well as not letting your opponents get to the net if you are able to master the vipers, a stroke that adapts perfectly to the shape of the racket.

The only disadvantage is that it may be too heavy (375 grams) for some players, especially those who have suffered from elbow and shoulder injuries.

It is currently priced at £90 as it is two seasons old, which does not limit its quality at all.

AdiPower Multiweight CTRL 2023

This top of the range racket is one of the favourites of coaches and players in the professional padel environment.

The handling and ‘oversize’ round size of this racket make it a great resource in the defensive zone, as it adjusts to the player’s speed to impact the ball in the best possible way and force opponents to make an extra shot to win the point.

It is an ideal racket for controlling the pace of the game, and suited for making those depth bandejas to hold the net. The technology of its carbon materials increases its resistance and hardness, which also allows for very good blocks in difficult situations of the game.

It has a weight and balance system through which you can customise the weight of the racket, something that may change the rules of the game in the coming years.

Its current price is reduced to £200, a reasonable amount of money considering the quality of the racket.

Wilson Bela Pro V2

The list could not fail to include the Wilson Bela Pro V2, designed exclusively for the best player in history, the Argentine Fernando Belasteguín.

If you are a dominant player and feel comfortable taking the lead in the couple, this racket in the shape of a diamond can be your perfect companion.

It is made of premium carbon that gives the racket a great stability to respond seriously to all the shots that come from the opponent. All this thanks to its sharp hole technology.

Ideal for working on the defence and holding long points, this racket will be forgiving a few kinks in your respect the technique and will give you the necessary power point to finish the point when the opponent makes a mistake in defence.

Its current price is around £250 due to its spectacular red design and the signature of the player nicknamed ‘Boss’, who the Wilson brand places in the Olympus of world padel after being number one in the world for sixteen years in his career.
