GAMETRAQ is a new video analysis tool for padel coaches, venues and players which gives users a wealth of insights into their game using AI technology.

Through high-tech AI technology and 4k camera quality, GAMETRAQ, from Swedish tech company GameCam, measures all four players’ shots, behaviour and movements on the court.

Statistical output includes metres run, how many shots you hit, percentage of failed shots and overall movement. “It’s a real-time analysis of the entire match,” says GameCam’s Magnus Jansson.

In developing the product, GameCam has enlisted the help of coach Rodri Ovide, who trains Spain’s Paquito Navarro and Gemma Triay. Ovide gave insight on what data he as a coach would like to know about his players’ games.

GAMETRAQ is purchased by padel venues, which then can offer the services to their players via the gamecam.live web platform.

A match is recorded via a high-speed sensor camera that delivers a 4K resolution of the live streaming. More than 64,000 matches have been recorded via the company’s cameras, both in Sweden and abroad.

“There is great desire among practitioners to record their matches, and the demand for video analysis is, if possible, even greater,” Jansson tells The Padel Paper. “By analysing you get the opportunity to become even better.”
