In the women’s draw, Great Britain will compete with Spain, France, Italy, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland and the Netherlands plus a further six qualifiers.
The format of the tournament will see the nations split into four groups of four teams. After the group stages, the two teams that top each group will advance to the play-offs to determine positions 1-8 while the remaining teams will bid to finish in positions 9-16.
The last European Championships took place in Marbella back in 2021 and saw the GB men’s team finish in sixth place. As a result, the British men enter this year’s Championships as the sixth seeds, meanwhile, the women – who finished in 10th place in 2021 – will arrive as the 10th seeds.
