The LTA has beefed up its Padel Performance Competitions Calendar for 2025 with more FIP and British Tour Grade 1 events, three FIP Promises junior tournaments and live streaming.

In total, there will be 30 weeks of international and domestic prize money and ranking point earning opportunities for British players this year, including four FIP tournaments, 11 British Tour Grade 1 tournaments and 15 British Tour Grade 2 tournaments.

The governing body has also announced a three-year partnership with Padel-TV as the official digital streaming partner for LTA Padel Performance competitions, covering all Grade 1 British Tour and domestic FIP events from April 2025.

This collaboration will enhance the visibility of padel in Britain, provide a platform for British players, and generate exclusive content, including player interviews and behind-the-scenes access. The channel is set to increase the profile and awareness of padel in Britain. LTA Advantage members will receive introductory discounts and special offers to access Padel-TV.

In 2024, the LTA hosted three FIP international events, which increases to four (two bronze and two silver) this year. The FIP Tour is the first stage of the professional padel circuit, with bronze, silver, gold and platinum level events.

In addition to this, the LTA British Tour Grade 1 calendar grows from eight to 11, spread across the country in areas such as London, Leeds, Cardiff and Guernsey. This expansion includes events on the new R3 Bullpadel Cup. Acceptance onto the LTA Padel British Tour events is based on players’ LTA Padel Ranking.

For the first time, the international junior padel circuit, FIP Promises, will be hosted in Great Britain this year. These are prominent international events that provide opportunities for junior players to compete for FIP ranking points in their specific age groups.

Tom Murray, LTA’s Head of Padel said: “I am delighted to announce the 2025 LTA Performance Competitions Calendar as well as the partnership with Padel-TV. We have been working very hard behind the scenes to come up with a performance calendar that supports our British players to compete throughout the year on home soil. As part of the offering, this includes international junior competitions which is vital to inspiring and supporting the next generation of players.

“The partnership with Padel-TV is game changing and an exciting next step. It is an innovative platform that can showcase the game and our British players to a wider audience, making the sport more accessible and appealing.”

Johannes Thomhave, CEO of Padel TV, commented on the partnership: “At Padel-TV, we are proud to become part of the exciting growth of padel in the UK. Through our collaboration with the LTA and their ambitious vision for the sport, we aim to take padel to new heights and deliver a world-class viewing experience for British fans. We look forward to building the British Padel Tour and exploring, with the LTA, creating a platform where players, fans, and the sport can thrive.”

These announcements follow the LTA’s appointments of National Pathway Manager, Libby Fletcher, and National Performance Coach, Sandi Farquharson. The LTA also partnered with Team AD/vantage, the exclusive British team entry into the Hexagon Cup as well as entering into a strategic partnership with the UK’s leading Pro-Celebrity padel series, the Pro Am Padel Tour, to increase accessibility and drive youth engagement in the sport.
