The Padel Weekend by HOP in November promises to be the biggest gathering of padel players ever in the UK – and has some very special prizes on offer.
The event on 4-5 November will take place – aptly enough – at the UK’s biggest padel venue, Rocket Padel in Bristol, and features no fewer than 14 competition categories.
Winners in the youth categories stand to win sponsorship from adidas and HOP for 2024.
Winners of the adidas HOP Tour and adidas HOP Pro events will get automatic entry into the adidas HOP Finals to be held at The Padel Hub in Slough on 25 November 2023.
HOP co-founder Javi Serrats told The Padel Paper: “We cannot wait to welcome competitive and recreational padel players to Bristol for what is going t be a spectacular event.
“We are thrilled with our line-up of sponsors and thank them for their continuous support in this journey, for helping us organise this huge event and donating an array of wonderful prizes.”
The competitions categories are as follows:
- adidas HOP Pro Grade 2 (men and women)
- adidas HOP Tour
- adidas HOP Youth comprising the following categories (for both genders):
– Juniors Under 12s (for players born from 2011 onwards)
– Juniors Under 15s (for players born from 2008 onwards)
– Juniors Under 18s (for players born from 2005 onwards) - adidas HOP Seniors comprising the following categories:
– Men Over 40s (for male players born on 1983 or before)
– Women Over 40s (for female players born on 1983 or before)
– Men Over 50s (for male players born on 1973 or before)
– Women Over 50s (for female players born on 1973 or before)
– Men Over 60s (for male players born on 1963 or before)
All categories (except for the adidas HOP Tour) will count towards the LTA rankings.
Full prizes:
- adidas HOP Pro Grade 2: trophies and £1,500 to share between male and female
- adidas HOP Seniors: trophies and gifts from our sponsors
- adidas HOP Tour: trophies and adidas bats for winners, Graham’s port bottle and adidas bags for runners-up
