The UK’s leading pro-celebrity padel series, the Pro Am Padel Tour, has partnered with the Lawn Tennis Association to increase accessibility and drive youth engagement in the sport.
This partnership marks a significant milestone for the Pro Am Padel Tour and the LTA in their shared goal to make padel a truly accessible and inclusive sport for all.
The LTA has come on board as the strategic partner to organise and host whole-day community-led sessions as part of the tour’s new look for 2025. It will visit four major cities across the UK for four new two-day events.
This builds on the Pro Am Padel Tour’s commitment to drive youth participation, encourage diversity and provide equal access opportunities to the sport. In 2024, the tour worked with community organisations and schools, as well as the LTA and regional governing bodies such as Tennis Wales, to put on dedicated coaching and taster sessions for children, young people, and underserved communities.
Oliver Morgan (pictured above), Founder of the Pro Am Padel Tour, said “One of our major objectives is to make padel accessible to everyone. Padel is more than just a sport; it’s a social phenomenon. We want to break down barriers and ensure that anyone, regardless of their background or experience level, can enjoy the buzz of the game. We’re excited to partner with the LTA to get padel rackets in the hands of more people across Britain.”
The partnership with the LTA will help provide more local communities with the opportunity to experience and engage with the sport of padel whilst in such a crucial growth period across Great Britain and worldwide.
Tom Murray (pictured above), Head of Padel of the LTA, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with the Pro Am Padel Tour to deliver community days to open up padel across Britain. Both the tour and the LTA share the same vision of padel as a sport for everyone. We want to open it up to more communities and drive greater youth engagement and participation across Britain.
“One of our key goals for the sport in this country is for there to be 400,000 annual padel players by the end of 2026, and working with the Pro-Am Padel Tour, who have been growing the sport’s profile through engagement with celebrities and some of the sport’s best players, will help us raise the profile of the sport, and encourage more people to pick up a racket.”
