Speedway Padel hosted the inaugural Sunrise to Sunset Padel Challenge, a marathon event dedicated to raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

This pioneering event, held from dawn till dusk at Pure Padel in Alderley Edge, saw enthusiastic participation from players and generous sponsorship from renowned brands, raising over £6,500.

The event brought together players of all levels who took to the courts from the first light of dawn until the last rays of the setting sun. Their determination and sportsmanship were truly inspiring, showcasing the vibrant and growing padel community in the UK.

The event was sponsored by Aston Martin, David M Robinson Jewellery, and the Boohoo Group, among others. The funds will be instrumental in helping Macmillan continue their vital work providing emotional, physical, and financial support to people living with cancer.

“We are incredibly proud of our community for coming together for such an important cause,” said Andrew McGeorge, CEO at Speedway Padel. “The enthusiasm and generosity displayed by everyone involved have been overwhelming. We hope that other padel clubs across the UK will join us next year to create an even bigger impact.”

Plans are already underway for next year’s challenge, which Speedway Padel plans to make an annual highlight in the sporting calendar and a significant contributor to cancer support services.
