Padel is back on the sport programme at the 2025 UK Corporate Games in Leeds this summer after proving a massive hit on its debut last year.
The UK Corporate Games is an annual multi-sport employee wellbeing event that brings together thousands of competitors from hundreds of businesses across the UK to engage employees, raise brand awareness, compete, network and socialise.
Every year, teams take part in sports as diverse as football, squash, golf, poker and dragonboat racing at venues across the host city.

Padel made its debut last year with matches hosted on the two courts at Chapel Allerton Lawn Tennis and Squash Club. This year, with Leeds once again hosting the Games from 24-27 July, the padel competition is moving to the 12-court Slazenger Padel Club north east of the city centre.
Up to 20 different organisations battled it out for the padel medals last year and this summer’s event is set to hit capacity fast.
In the corporate world, padel has quickly earned a reputation for being a go-to sport for businesses looking to strengthen teamwork, enhance communication and promote employee wellbeing.

Safran Landing Systems entered the 2024 padel event with 20 participants and went on to win the Padel Championship Award. Reflecting on their experience, Commercial Manager Sylvie Darrieumerlou said: “Padel is the fastest-growing sport in the world, and it’s not difficult to see why: it is easy to pick up from scratch, and anybody can have fun at whatever level they are at.
“It is a fantastic team sport both on and off the court. The playing pair has to communicate, gel together, and support each other to win. Off the court, players encourage one another regardless of skill level or competitiveness, because having fun and showing respect are the core values of the sport. At Safran, we are creating a padel community that brings players from all levels and functions together — and it’s growing rapidly.”
The entry deadline for the 2025 UK Corporate Games in Leeds is 3 July.
