The world’s first floating padel court was launched on Monday in the middle of Jumeirah Lake Towers in Dubai.

The concept was developed by World Wide Padel alongside Pontech, which together with its sister companies is Northern Europe’s largest supplier of floating docks.

The Jumeirah Lake Towers court will be the home of the Padelx floating club and is the first of many novel padel court concepts in the pipeline from World Wide Padel, according to CEO Sofie Källström.

The floating court has a spectacular backdrop

One of the partners behind World Wide Padel is Christian Wilhelmsson, a former Sweden football international whose former clubs include Anderlecht, Bolton Wanderers and Saudi side Al-Hilal.

He commented: “We have been working hard to get the delivery, installation, project management and service in a perfect way to meet the high requirements from Padelx.

“This floating club will for sure be a bucket-list must-do for all who love playing padel.”

World Wide Padel, founded in 2015, designs, installs, sells and services padel courts in the premium segment in Europe, the Middle East and China.
